Sunny:
Hi, I have an interview today and that is scheduled during our group meeting. I won’t be able to join the meeting. Also, I have preoccupied on this since yesterday and didn’t get a chance to send action items. I will send my status/action items tomorrow.
Sunny:
Hi group,
Here are the major pending tasks I’ll focus on this week:

Dr. Lei:
try to prepare slides to clearly spell out ideas you have in mind. preparing slides is a way to help you think through. refer to my comments to pujan’s status update about what a baseline approach should include, and try to think around thse components.
Sunny:
Milestone: Submission to ISSTA, OCT 31st
Intermediate Milestone:
Based on the discussion in this morning’s meeting, I will make the necessary changes to accommodate the approach and direction of the paper and send the complete version by next Tuesday.
Action Items Completed:
Next Steps:
Following our discussion, I will implement the recommended changes to the approach outlined in the paper. Additionally, I would like to sign up for a discussion tomorrow to discuss deeper into the idea and approach. My goal is to explore ways to enhance the robustness of the approach and to strategize on planning the paper for ISSTA.

Dr. Lei:
sounds good. look forward to your presentation on the new approach.
Dr. Lei:
one thing: we need to put a conclusion on the model compression paper. maybe put it on arXiv if we don’t have a good place to submit at this point?
Sunny:
I will give it one more try
Look at other conferences and see if I can find a good fit
If not I will archive it
Sunny:
Hi Group,
Milestone: I’ll be sending my work from the past two weeks, which is a culmination of the independent research I’ve been working on over the past few months.
As I mentioned last week, I’ve been working on ideas that are an extension of what I’ve presented previously, and I will wrap it up by tomorrow. The work has been organized into a paper format, and I plan to send it to Dr. Lei sometime between by tomorrow night and Wednesday evening. After that, I’ll schedule a meeting with him to review it.

Dr. Lei:
Sounds good. What’s your plan for the model compression paper? I would suggest to put it on arXiv for now. also, do you want to do a dry run for your ASE presentation to the group?

Sunny:
Action Items Done: Submit paper to FSE.
Action items for the week: Review all pending work and devise a detailed plan for next steps. Specifically, I will send the work that I have done so far on another paper and will try to get some initial feedbacks.
Replies:
Dr. Lei:
sounds good. i suggest you finish the model compression paper as the next priority task.
Sunny:
Milestone: Submit to FSE on 12th, Submit Camera ready to ASE on 13th. As of now, I have done another revision to both the paper since Friday meeting (100% change of ASE paper visible on overleaf, I am uploading the FSE changes and will have it ready for review by the time of meeting). I would like to sign up for a quick technical meeting. I am not sure about the agenda of this discussion, but I am sure I will have the couple of queries to discuss.
Replies:
Dr. Lei:
i suggest you continue to refine the ASE paper after you make the submission. also you need to submit the Artifact evaluation. There is also a copyright form to sign for the camera-ready version.
Dr. Lei:
another comment is that this time we are still rushing quite a bit. for the ASE paper, it was accepted about a month ago, but it was not in a good state when i started to review it. if this was because the approach was difficult to explain, it would have been better if you made me aware of the situation. next time we definitely needed to have an internal deadline.
